I advocate for all challenged with chronic pain as well as their family, caregivers, healthcare professionals & public. My speaking engagements, media interviews, and books on chronic pain inspire patient engagement filled with HOPE & motivation. I have been battling chronic pain since 1997. First with endometriosis. Then in 2002, I developed Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), RA, hypothyroid, migralepsy, TMJ and more. My content creation offers practical advice, tips and tricks for better daily living and resolutions to the challenges of living with chronic pain. I have had a medical journey with twist and turns and now educate others on navigating the minefield of the healthcare system. I serve on multiple pain advisory boards and coalitions. Conduct legal research. Draft legal documents and correspondence. Author and sign correspondence provided the legal assistant status is clearly indicated and the correspondence does not contain independent legal opinions or legal advice. Conduct client interviews and maintain general contact with the client. Conduct investigations and statistical and documentary research.
Manage a staff of 40 employees. Plan, staff, and coordinate all Cheertec cheerleading events. Perform administrative and legal tasks pertinent to managing a small business. Head trainer for all instructional and judging staff. Create and choreograph original Cheertec program material. Teach curriculum to cheerleaders within the school system as well as to individuals in private programs. Administer a yearly scholarship competition for cheerleaders & head safety judge for competitions. Computer skills applied everyday of work, Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint, Net Objects Fusion, Page Maker, Illustrator, and Outlook.
Responsible for the coordination, coaching and administration of the Spirit Squads (cheer and dance) and Mascot programs. Including scheduling, conducting practices, choreography, travel, budget requests and overseeing daily and game/ event functions of squads, ordering uniforms and supplies, writing and distribution of rules and regulations manual. This position is full time with benefits. Computer skills applied everyday of work, Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint, Net Objects Fusion, Page Maker, Illustrator, and Outlook. Coached at 2 Rose Bowls and The Sun Bowl.
Served as a cheerleading and dance instructor. Choreographed cheers and dance routines, which were then demonstrated and taught to students. Performed dance and cheer routines for students to demonstrate proper cheering techniques. Traveled to East Coast schools to conduct training seminars on proper cheering and dancing techniques. Motivated students and their coaches to maintain a positive high energy level. Served as a positive role model for students. Judge for national cheerleading and dance competitions. Maintained scheduling of camps and events, insure proper staffing coverage of events and communication effectively to students and team coaches.
