I am a Wisconsin-based writer living with multiple physical and mental chronic illnesses. My passion is to help patients and organizations alike learn more about illnesses, stigmas attached to them, and how to improve quality of life for all. I have written for and worked with a number of organizations from Creaky Joints to Self Care Catalysts and Healthline to Achieve Clinical. My latest personal project, Chronic Sex, focuses on how illness and disability affect little-discussed things like relationships and sexuality.

Founder at Chronic Sex

I created and manage Chronic Sex, all about chronic illness and how it affects self-love, self-care, relationships, sex, and sexuality. I currently have a website, facebook group, and other social media profiles. There is also a weekly chat Thursday evenings using the hashtag #chronicsex.

In association with this project, I have been able to present or take place in workshops and sessions from Toronto to Phoenix to Philadelphia and the Pacific Northwest on sex and sexuality, self-care and self-love, and more.

I created and manage a website that showcases my personal journey through chronic illnesses, both physical and mental. While this started as more of a personal blog, it is my biggest project and the website with which most of my volunteer work is associated. I discuss not only information relevant to those with my specific illnesses but also other illnesses, social justice, and general healthcare information.

This site has allowed me to work with organizations, both domestic and international, to raise awareness of illnesses and more. Organizations I've worked with include the Arthritis Foundation, Creaky Joints, Achieve Clinical, Healthline, and more.
